Is Famlysync free?
Yes — Famlysync is free to start, and every core household feature is included.
How does inviting people work?
From Settings, send the people you live with an invite by email. They click the link, sign in, and land inside your household. The invite link works whether they're already signed in or not.
What devices does it work on?
Any modern browser — iPhone, Android, iPad, laptop, desktop. Install it to your home screen and it runs as an installable PWA.
Does it sync in real time?
Yes. Changes anyone makes show up on everyone else's device within a second over Supabase Realtime. If the connection drops, the app resyncs automatically when it comes back.
Is my data private?
Famlysync runs on Supabase Postgres with row-level security, so your household content is visible only to invited members. There's no advertising. We use analytics to understand how Famlysync is used and improve it — see the privacy policy for what we collect.
How is this different from Google Calendar, Cozi, or Todoist?
Those apps are great for individuals or larger groups. Famlysync is shaped for your household — couples, families, and roommates alike — with one calendar, one shopping list, one set of tasks, no per-user inbox to manage. The mental overhead is lower.
Can I use it solo?
Yes. Create a household with just yourself. Invite the people you live with later when you're ready.
Does it work offline?
The app itself is cached, so it installs and opens even without a connection. Your calendar, shopping, tasks, and lists sync live from the server, so you'll need a connection to load the latest and to make changes — everything updates again the moment you're back online.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Account and use Delete account. It permanently erases your account and the household data you own (households where you're the sole owner; co-owned households are handed to another member).
